Back Where We Belong

September 8th, 2008 by nightflight-kennewick

Monday, monday… can’t trust this day. Weekends are not NEARLY long enough.

The Night Flight is back on our regular schedge… I don’t know how those morning kids do it day after day. I doubt Sadie and I could have survived any more early mornings. We’re on NIGHTS for a REASON!

So, with summer officially over and fall well under way, it’s time to start thinking about the NFL, Am’s hockey, (slightly) lower gas prices and grabbing a jacket before you leave the house. And of course, another ratings period. Eagle’s currently #4… so let’s set a realistic goal and make it all the way to #3!!!

You’d be surprised how difficult that actually is.

Peace, have a great week, we’ll yak atchya tonight.

What’s the haps… it’s Rock. Wednesday morning…

Yup, the Night Flight has become the Morning Flight… or maybe we should call it the Red-Eye Morning Show. Temporarily, whilst BJ & A are on vacay, Sadie and myself are rockin’ mornings. Same great classic rock sounds, same great morning show flavor, but in a different way. Sadie and I are really enjoying it, but good LORD how do you morning people get up? I’ve gotten about 6 hours rest in the past 48… no matter how hard I try, I cannot put myself to sleep before midnight.

Things are going well, though. Good response from you Eagle Gangsters… we’ll keep rockin’ it, if you keep rockin’ it.

Labor Day A to Z rocked, didn’t it? Great to hear all the stuff that somehow slips through the radio cracks. It’s now our annual gift to the Classic Rock Faithful, perhaps next year we’ll extend it to a week… or maybe even commercial-free! Wouldn’t THAT be a trip?

Alrighty, whitey. Peace*Love*Rock&Roll!

Back In Action… Fair Week Wrap… Big Things On The Horizon

August 27th, 2008 by nightflight-kennewick

Yo, Eagle Gangsters…

As some of you know, Sadie was out of commission for the whole of Fair Week, recovering from some pretty invasive surgery. But she’s back and ready to rock and roll. She appreciates all the kind words and support… and free food.

Fair week went very well, we were out there loud and proud all week long, met a lot of you guys out there. Too bad the weather didn’t really get up there hot enough to REALLY utilize the mister tents we rigged up. Loverboy rocked, like they always do, and everything went according to plan. Now we just need to work on losing that extra 15 lbs we all gained from all that greazy fair food.

Something pretty damn awesome coming up this weekend… A to Z Weekend! The First Annual Labor Day A to Z Weekend on the Eagle, starting Friday at 5pm… rockin’ every song we’ve got, from Abracadabra to Ziggy Stardust. It should be freakin’ sweet. Listen, will ya?

Alright… the pile of work awaits. Yeah, dj’s actually DO work. Who do you think makes all those awesome commercials?

Peace, Love, Rock & Roll!

New Night Flight Blog!

August 14th, 2008 by nightflight-kennewick

Well, welcome world, to the new Night Flight blog! Finally, a place where we can actually SAY what we WANT!!!

Yo… Rock checking in. 10am, Thursday. So, coming in to work this morning, I noticed that gas prices are starting to dip ever so slightly. The best price I saw was 4.099 (nobody notices that extra 9 thousands of a dollar tacked onto the price per gallon) at Albertsons on Clearwater. Now, I know that the price of gas is NEVER going to go back to what it was… I remember when 20 bucks would fill my tank… now I’m lucky to get a quarter of that. I’ve been considering selling my Jeep and buying myself a bike. (Not potato potato bike, but a pedal pedal ding ding sorta bike.) Yeah, you may see me pedaling my ass down Deschutes on my way to or from work sometime soon… Gay, yes, but who can really afford to waste their money? My current vehicle has been nothing but a money pit. I’ve replaced nearly every part on that damn thing, and it STILL breaks down at least once every couple weeks. I’m sick of it. Time for a bike.

Had a kick ass dream last night where the Stones played a private show at my house. Yes, my dreams ARE always that awesome. Where else can you let your subconcious get what it really wants? Effin’ A. Thank Gourd for lucid dreams! And cough syrup… which are not mutually exclusive, by the way.

Anyway… back to work. Peace, love, and rock & roll!
